Carolyn Louise Cantrell

Carolyn Louise Cantrell, 82, passed away on Oct. 1, 2020, surrounded by her family.

She was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Major Dunlap and Dorothy Dunlap Goodfleisch.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was diagnosed with MS in her late 20s, but she never allowed it to interfere with her life. 

She loved her grandchildren, and they were the light and joy of her life. She was an avid sports fan with Florida State Seminole’s at the top of her list. 

Carolyn was preceded in death by: her son Dewayne “Dobie” Cantrell; her husband, Bob “Big Daddy” Cantrell; her mother, Dorothy Goodfleisch; and her father, Major Dunlap.

She is survived by: her son, Doug and his wife, Kay; grandchildren, Christy Giddens (Carlton), Jenni Wigglesworth (Billy Joe) and Savannah Stefanelli (Chase); and great-grandchildren, Emma and Parker Giddens, Maggie and Beckett Wigglesworth, and Asher Stefanelli; sister, Becky Dunlap Eccard; niece, Stacy; and nephew, Ross Cochran.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Billy Gipson officiating.
