Red snapper fall season extended three weekends

Local and visiting out-of-town anglers will have three more weekends to catch and keep red snapper, after the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced a fall red snapper season for private recreational anglers and state for-hire operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

The extra fall red snapper season dates will be open on Saturdays and Sundays: Oct. 17-18, Oct. 24-25 and Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
