    Dennis Rusty Raulerson

    Dennis Rusty Raulerson, 75, passed away on Oct. 7, 2020, in Perry.

    Rusty was born July 17, 1945 in Foley to Joseph Daniel Raulerson and Bertha Bonnie Faircloth Raulerson.

    Mr. Raulerson was a Christian who trusted in God. He worked with Proctor & Gamble, then later Buckeye, in production first and then the maintenance department, retiring after 32 years.

    Afterward, he opened his own septic tank service, operating it until he became disabled.

    His favorite pastime and hobbies included staying on the Aucilla River at their river house, and fishing and hunting with his family and friends, enjoying a camp fire afterwards.

    Rusty was preceded in death by: his parents, Joe and Big Mama Raulerson; his brother, Dan Raulerson; and sister, Bonnie Raulerson.

    Mr. Raulerson is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Martha Raulerson; his children, PeeWee Raulerson (Brenda), Laurie Bratcher (Ricky), Bam Raulerson, Donna Dayton (Andrew) and Dennis Raulerson; siblings, Joann Flint, Jerry Raulerson and Ted Raulerson; nine grandchildren, Britkney, Suzanna, Katie, Seth, Erin, Rebekah, Daniel, Alex and Hannah; and three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Arthur and Laityn, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 6-7 p.m.

    In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the local Guardian Ad Litem for Christmas gifts for children who may not be able to have Christmas this year.
