Former FHP trooper shot in line of duty

A Tennessee police officer who formerly served Taylor County with the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is home recovering after being shot in the line of duty Sunday.

East Ridge Police Department Cpl. Terry Prescott was released from the hospital Monday afternoon, East Ridge Chief Stan Allen said Tuesday.
