Residents are being detoured around Folsom Street, as the City of Perry works to repair a sinking manhole.
The week-long project required digging a trench to allow Public Works employees to pump out water as they install “flowable fill” of fast-hardening concrete to create a solid base that will give the manhole a more structured foundation, according to Public Works Director Chester McAfee. The project is scheduled to be completed by next week.
