Volunteers will bake 1,000 pounds of fruitcake this holiday season

A tempting aroma of butter and sweet fruit wafts from the oven, filling the fellowship hall of Perry Church of God.

Volunteers sit or stand at their stations and carry out an assembly line of tasks with an efficiency that would make Henry Ford proud.
