    COVID surge in Europe could affect movie releases in the U.S.

    So far, there hasn’t been any new bad news in the realm of movie theaters and their releases, at least not here in the United States.

    Last weekend, the horror film “Come Play” earned $3.1 million at the domestic box office, which is better than “The Empty Man” did the weekend before, earning just $1.3 million. Although I haven’t ventured out myself to see either film, “Come Play” did look like the better of the two based on the trailers.
