Tuesday’s general election will have far-reaching effects on Florida — far beyond who will hold public office the next few years — as the state’s voters approved four of six proposed amendments to the Florida Constitution, including one that will raise the state’s minimum wage to $15 by 2026.
One of the two measures that failed statewide did receive a majority of “yes” votes, but fell short of the 60% mark required for proposed constitutional amendments to amend the state’s highest legal document.
