“You put everything on the line for us, and we would like to honor you today,” Cadet LTC Julian Richardson said, welcoming Taylor County veterans to the annual Taylor County High School (TCHS) JROTC Veterans Day program held Tuesday, Nov. 10.
He then shared what JROTC has meant to him these past four years. “It has made me a better person. When I came into high school I was not really sure who I was. But when I came into the program, I not only found out who I was, but I also found a family and made friends I never thought I would have made. I also made memories that will last a lifetime. This program, to me, is one of the most important things I’ve done in my lifetime so far. I have enlisted in the Marine Corps and leave in June to serve as an infantryman,” he said.
