Attorney reviews school hirings

The Taylor County School Board voted unanimously Tuesday to hire a Tallahassee attorney to conduct an extensive review of its hiring practices and generate a comprehensive report, including recommendations for changes.

The action came in the wake of a discrimination complaint filed by Oriel Blalock, an applicant who was not interviewed or hired for a guidance position at the middle school.
