Sometimes, a story is so massive, so outlandish and so unbelievable, it’s difficult to figure out where to start telling it. That’s the case with WarnerMedia’s industry-changing announcement last week that the studio planned to release its entire 2021 film slate on its streaming service HBO Max on the same day each one hits theaters.
The immediate response came from Wall Street, where movie theater stocks plummeted.
