Even if you’re not a fan of comic book movies, I’m sure you’ve at least heard of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which at present includes 23 movies spanning 2008’s “Iron Man” all the way to 2019’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

Thanks to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, 2020 was the first year in which we didn’t get a new Marvel movie since 2007. In fact, just to show how prolific the franchise has become, 2020 was the first year since 2016 that we didn’t get at least three films in the series.

Although a lot of plans had to be put on hold due to the outbreak, the MCU kicks off 2021 in a big way this week with the debut episode of the new Disney+ series, “Wandavision,” following Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Vision (Paul Bettany) after the events of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” Now, if you’ve seen those movies, this might be a bit confusing for you, but don’t worry, we’ll get back to that in a bit.
