City eyes downtown purchase

Anticipating the need for additional space in the future, the City of Perry has authorized City Manager Taylor Brown to negotiate the purchase of additional property downtown adjacent to its current administrative offices.

At the city’s March 9 meeting, Brown requested permission to approach the owner of property located one block east of the current city offices and Perry Police Department on the other side of Washington Street.
