    $15 minimum wage could cost county over $900,000

    Businesses large and small are taking stock of how the upcoming staggered increase to Florida’s minimum wage will impact their finances over the next six years, and the Taylor County Commission is no different.

    During a recent workshop, the county commission was presented with an estimate showing the constitutional amendment passed last year increasing minimum wage up to $15 could cost the county a total of $908,000 through fiscal year 2027.
