The average sales price of a Taylor County home has soared more than 40% over the past three years and continues to rise as part of a red-hot “seller’s market” that has the real estate market booming in portions of the country.
According to local property records, the median price of a single-family residential home sale in Taylor County was $140,000 in 2020, reflecting a 40% increase from just three years ago in 2017 ($100,000) and a 17.5% ($20,800) increase from just one year prior in 2019.
