The Taylor County School District’s summer school session is in full swing, and expected to pump an estimated quarter of a million dollars in federal CARES Act funds into the local economy to help students.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. said Tuesday that some $250,000 in federal COVID-19 assistance funding is being spent “in hopes that students may recoup some of the learning losses that have been evident throughout the last school year.”
