Overall, students met the academic goals set for them during the largest summer school initiative launched by the Taylor County School District in years – meaning that the number of required retentions dropped.
“Learning loss was real, and our students missed a lot of instructional time this past year. I’m proud that our schools and parents worked together to ensure that our kids could get back on track, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. said.
