After coronavirus claimed the lives of her grandmother and her aunt, Liz Devane Rivera has endured the past 315 days by trusting in God and whispering a reminder to herself that “it is already written.”

Rivera says she and her family were left devastated and afraid as they grieved their loss amidst a raging pandemic, too terrified to cling to one another for fear of infecting another loved one.
