Glover: ‘Intentions for the closure were successful’

When the Taylor County School District hit the “reset” button earlier this month due to the rampant COVID absences and quarantines, one school was averaging 200 absences a day.

But when students returned last Tuesday, schools saw some of the best daily attendance numbers since the new school year began.
