Perry team wins MCSO golf tourney

A four-man team from Perry brought home first-place plaques after winning the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Youth Ranch Golf Tournament at Madison RV & Golf Resort on Sept. 13, helping raise more than $11,000 for Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches.

Billy Grant, John Cruce, Daniel Everett and Matt Cruce — all of Perry — captured first place in the “Super Ball” format, shooting a 52 (50.5 net, after handicap) to edge out the second-place team by less than a stroke.
