From Taylor County to TLC

Fame has come fast for local Max Kallschmidt, as the 20-year-old juggles starting a new business with his newfound stardom from TLC’s reality documentary “Welcome to Plathville.”

“It all started with my stepdad’s brother’s wife. She saw this thing on Facebook or knew somebody that was looking for models. Without even telling me, she signed me up. Next thing I knew, Marsha Doll — who is also from Taylor County — got into contact with me,” Kallschmidt said, summing up his rapid rise to stardom.
