Florida’s minimum wage jumped to $10 on Thursday, Sept. 30, the first step on its journey to hit $15 an hour by Sept. 30, 2026.
The new wage is a $1.35 increase over the previous state minimum wage of $8.65. Meanwhile, the new minimum wage for tipped employees is $6.98 — also a $1.35 increase over the previous wage.
