    High speed internet?

    Posted on October 15, 2021

The Taylor County Development Authority (TCDA) invites all community members to participate in a broadband initiative to test the internet connectivity in Taylor County.

The TCDA said it hopes that if all community members conduct the one-minute test, it will identify areas where broadband access could be improved, bringing better home broadband access to Taylor County.

“The TCDA realizes that during this unprecedented time, the need for reliable, affordable internet service in all parts of our community is more important than ever,” TCDA Chairman Wallace Holmes Jr. said.

In an effort to improve area internet, TCDA has partnered with GEO Partners, LLC.

“We are calling on all community members, particularly those with students in grades K-12 and those working from home, to participate in the Taylor County-wide internet speed testing initiative to find out if you have broadband at home or work and what your speed is,” Holmes said.

According to Holmes, the test will determine the level of broadband connectivity in the county.

The test can be done from any device while it is connected to the broadband internet signal in your home or business.

Contact the TCDA at (850) 584-5627 if you have any questions.
