Senior Center requests $$$

City Council members opted not to dip into cash reserves in response to a request for funding assistance from the Taylor Senior Citizens Center (TSCC).

Instead, the city council will await legal guidance from the state and federal government to see if it can use some of its $1.7 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to help the local non-profit agency purchase a new walk-in freezer to serve senior citizens.
