McNutt verdict brings relief to victims, sorrow to family

One of the first things friends will tell you about Paul McNutt is that he is not a monster.

Taking the stand in his defense, McNutt’s daughter, Cheryl Moore described her father as “patient, giving…he never spanked us as children. He never raised a hand to anybody. I never heard him raise his voice.”

But on Dec. 5, 2011–in the space of less than 60 seconds–McNutt committed a monstrous act that shattered the lives of two families forever.
