Landry seeks open city seat

Diane C. Landry has become the first person to file to run for the Perry City Council District 3 seat left vacant by the death of former City Council Member Mike Deming.

Last month, the city council decided against moving up a special election to fill the seat after learning that it would cost a minimum of $17,000 and potentially only speed up the process by just a few months.
