Despite the federal government’s partial shutdown, most programs benefiting residents in Taylor County are continuing to operate, including Social Security and Medicare, as well as the local Headstart.
The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) has announced that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), including food assistance and EBT, will continue operations despite the federal government shutdown, and eligible households will still receive monthly benefits for October.
