2 key school posts open

The Taylor County School Board is currently accepting applications for two key positions, including the district’s director of instruction and assistant director at Big Bend Technical College (BBTC).

“The director of instruction is an anticipated opening. Sharon Hathcock, our current director, is retiring on June 30, which is the end of her Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP). This position is one of the most critical on the district level. We are advertising early in hopes we can get her replacement on board to work with her, o be able to understand the scope of the position and learn from her institutional knowledge she has acquired over the years in the position,” Superintendent of Schools Paul Dyal said.
