City to add second inmate work crew

The City of Perry is now just a few steps away from adding the services of a second inmate work crew – supervised by city staff – that will provide labor and carry out maintenance duties throughout the city.

City Manager Taylor Brown made the announcement at the city council’s Feb. 8 meeting, reporting that he and City Public Works Director Chester McAfee had recently reached an agreement with the local state prison.
