Taylor County’s grant application for funds to conduct $431,000 in renovations at Forest Capital Hall was ranked the number one proposal in the state by the Florida Cultural Facilities Grant Program Wednesday out of 29 projects, many from much larger counties and municipalities.
A delegation representing the county, City of Perry, Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce, Taylor County Development Authority and the Tourism Development Council went to Tallahassee for the grant hearing, during which an 11-person panel heard presentations from all 29 organizations seeking funding.
