The Taylor School Board has unanimously voted to ask voters to renew a 0.25 mill “critical needs” property tax for an additional four years to help offset an increase in fuel costs, as well as an anticipated 25% (or more) increase in property insurance premiums.
The additional funds would also assist the school district in implementing a state-mandated $15 per hour minimum wage for all district employees.
