    Council reduces setbacks for campgrounds in Perry

    A local landowner is one step closer to receiving approval to site an RV campground off Church Street after receiving approval from the city council to reduce the required setback distance for campgrounds located within the City of Perry.

    At its April 12 meeting, the city council held a public hearing and voted 4-0 in favor of an ordinance amending the city’s land development regulations (LDRs) to allow the current 25-foot setback for travel trailers in a campground to be reduced to 10 feet – if a six-foot high structure (or fence) is installed and maintained along the property line.
