    Crafters wanted!

    Posted on June 1, 2022

Registration is now underway for Taylor County Habitat for Humanity’s upcoming craft fair planned Saturday, June 25.

“This first-ever event will begin at 9 a.m. and continue through 3 p.m.,” Executive Director Karol Barr said.

The fundraiser will be held at the Habitat office, which is located next door to the Book Mart.

Vendor space will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, and those interested in participating should contact the Habitat office at (850) 584-3838 or email TCHFH@fairpoint.net by June 17.

Registration forms will be available at the office, Barr said. Craft spaces will be $20 each, and food truck slots will be $50.

“There are many local artists and crafters in the community, and we hope they will consider setting up their booths with us,” she said.

Habitat for Humanity is a faith-based organization which strives to provide affordable sustainable housing for families who don’t qualify for traditional mortgages.

The group also provides assistance with home repair for those who have limited funds and no family to assist them.

Profits from fundraisers like this one help the local organization, which gets limited financial assistance from the national chapter, Barr explained.
