You can now apply for passports at clerk’s office

For years, Taylor County residents who wanted a passport have had to travel to Mayo or Tallahassee to secure one. However, the Taylor County Clerk’s Office is now offering that service in Perry — although it is by appointment only.

Clerk of Court Gary Knowles recently announced the new service, asking those interesting in securing a passport to call his office at (850) 838-8135 to make an appointment.
