Inflation and fuel prices take major toll on city budget

Inflation and record-high fuel prices are taking a major toll on the City of Perry’s budget.

According to City Finance Director Penny Staffney, several city departments have already more than exceeded the amount budgeted for vehicle maintenance – even though the city is just more than halfway through the fiscal year.
