Harold ‘Butch’ Boyd Barnett

Harold ‘Butch’ Boyd Barnett passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2022.

He was born on Aug. 9, 1961, in Marquette, Mich.

As a child he grew up in Skandia, Mich., and attended Gwinn School District. After high school, he briefly served in the National Guard before marrying and having his three children.

He spent much of his adult life living in Clio, Mich., where he worked as a welder before moving to Perry to get away from the cold.

In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his garage on motorcycles and four-wheelers, riding his motorcycle and sitting by the bonfire.

He is survived by: his mother, Shirley Barnett; three children, Eric Barnett, Ashlie Sebranek and Steven Barnett; special son-in-law, Mike Sebranek; six grandchildren, Kody, Nevaeh, Madison, Natalia, Kamila and Riley; and sisters, Stefanie Anderson (Eric) and Lisa Culliver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Barnett, and sister, Valerie Barnett-Campbell.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date in Michigan.
