‘I’m not letting go’

Less than 90 minutes after joining in the search for three missing boaters Sunday morning, Daniel Dickert yelled, “There they are!” from his spot on the bow of Joey Anderson’s boat, pointing to an outstretched hand waving in the distance approximately 15 miles offshore.

Moments later, Anderson maneuvered his 42-foot Freeman catamaran alongside Jimmie Taylor, 60, 14-year-old Troy Lindsey and Lindsey’s 50-year-old grandfather Russ Davis.
