Parkland shooting led to new security mandates

In the wake of the Feb. 18, 2018 shooting in Parkland that took the lives of 17 Florida students and educators, the Florida Legislature passed the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act, which included many new school safety measures.
