It’s been six weeks since the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), most commonly referred to as Obamacare, federal health insurance exchange went online, and its enrollment website continues to experience significant problems, forcing most of those looking to purchase
policies to apply by phone or mail.
Although officials say they will have the website―www.healthcare.gov―working properly by the end of the month, reports are spreading of insurance companies canceling millions of existing policies across the country which do not meet the law’s new requirements along with “sticker shock” as people begin browsing the new exchange.
