Four years after approving a tax abatement encouraging local snack maker Super-Pufft to undertake a $20 million expansion to its local plant, the Taylor County Commission has taken the first step toward revoking that abatement, citing $54,000 in unpaid property taxes in addition to expressing objections over the perceived low percentage of “U.S. citizens” among the company’s hires.
