‘Your conduct is poisoning the city’

Although she stopped short of bringing forward an official resolution for censure, Mayor Shirlie Hampton read an open letter addressed to City Councilman Bill Brynes during Tuesday night’s council meeting, alleging his conduct “is poisoning the city” and “making it a place no one wants to work,” adding that “morale among city employees is as bad as I have ever seen it.”
