    Leesa Hardee Blume

    Leesa Hardee Blume, 65, passed away on March 31, 2023, in Perry.

    She was born in Adel, Ga., on Jan. 24, 1958, but spent most of her life in Perry.

    Leesa was well known at both the old and the new Doctors’ Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. Everyone loved Leesa and she typed like the wind.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lee Hardee and Betty Whitehurst Hardee, and her husband, Jon Blume.

    She is survived by: her sisters, Leslie Cicone (Jay) and LeeAnn Ennis of Tallahassee; two nieces, Rylee Ennis and Laura Cicone; and a nephew, Robby Ennis; as well as her best friend, Nancy Holden.

    A memorial service is planned for a later date.

    All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

    Kenneth Ryle Jackson, 67, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023, in Perry.

    Kenny was born June 8, 1955, to James R. and Opal Jackson.

    He lived in Perry most his life where he worked for Watkins Engineer for 20-plus years until he took a job with Transpower, which led him to relocate to Leesburg, Ga.

    Kenny was a devote Christian and had a love for flying, so much so he earned his private pilot’s license. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a proud father, grandfather and friend to all.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Opal Jackson.

    He is survived by: his two children, daughter, Lauren Jackson of St. Pete and his son, Kenneth Ryan Jackson of Cape Cod, Mass.; his two grandchildren, Jax and Knox; two stepchildren, Ronna and Jarvis Cruce; two step-grandchildren, Dalton and Paisley; sisters, Jayme McCall and her husband of 40 years, Clinton, and Sandra Bolton Ward, all of Perry; as well as all of his nieces.

    A Celebration of Life service will be held at Antioch Revival Center (3808 Cash Road) on Saturday, April 22, at 11 a.m.
