Ahead of schedule

Construction of a new $2 million Health Science Virtual Reality Lab at Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) is “far ahead of schedule, and I believe we’ll have a ribbon-cutting during the first week teachers are back (for the upcoming 2023-24 school year) and actually have students in that classroom the first day of class,” BBTC Director Jodi Tillman told school board members during their May 16 regular meeting. She also noted that several purchase orders would be coming before the board in the next few months as BBTC begins equipping the building for the nursing program.
