Gregory Rivas Jr.

Gregory Rivas Jr., 73, passed away on June 10, 2023 in Perry. He was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Tampa to Gregory Rivas Sr. and Maria Gonzalez Rivas. Gregory was of the Catholic faith. He always enjoyed family gatherings where he spent time making everyone laugh. His favorite place to vacation at was Disney World. Otherwise, you could find him sitting on the front porch at Lake Panasoffkee in his spare time. Gregory was the proud owner of Rivas Enterprises for 30 years where he enjoyed serving the community. He was a hard worker and very dedicated. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregory Sr. and Maria Rivas; and his brother, Roland Rivas. Mr. Rivas is survived by: his wife, Jill Rivas; his children, Daniel Rivas, Jessica Gil and Jimmy Rivas; his grandchildren; and his great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment services will be held privately at Fellowship Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
