Holmes presented ‘Our Hero’ award

Longtime Perry Fire Department Volunteer Wallace Holmes was named the 2012 recipient of the Perry Rotary Club’s Our Hero Award, announced Friday evening, Feb. 22, at the Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce Banquet.

Annually, the award recognizes a first-responder who demonstrates an outstanding level of service to Taylor County beyond the usual scope of duties.
