Rita Faye Walker

Rita Faye Walker, 68, passed away on Dec. 24, 2023, in Tallahassee. She was born Dec. 27, 1954, in Perry to Lewis Mann and Lucennie Thomas Klopfer. Rita loved her dogs, who she truly spoiled. She thoroughly loved even more so spending time with her family. Rita was of the Christian faith and a member of the First Church of God. She worked as the office manager for 40 years between Marshall’s Health & Rehab and New Truck Lines. Rita was preceded in death by: her husband, Jeff Walker; her parents, Lewis Mann and Lucennie Thomas; and her brother, Jerry Mann. Mrs. Walker is survived by: her children, Alicia Sherrer and her husband, Jamie, and Dawn Arnold; her grandchildren, Tayler Young, Madison Young, Makenzie Mayer, Landon Couey and Kayle Couey; and her siblings, Keith Murphy and his wife, Tabitha, Shirley Curry and her husband, John, Lucretia Mann and Timmy Murphy and his wife, Tonya; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service were held on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Cricket Watson officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
