    Reba Cossette Driggers

    Reba Cossette Driggers, 84, passed away on May 1, 2024, in Perry at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 22, 1939, in Madison to David Rogers and Daisy Williams Rogers. Cossette was a Baptist and a member and grew up attending Lakeside Baptist Church. More recently, she attended First Assembly of God of Perry. She was employed by the Taylor County School System for 31 years as the lunchroom manager at Perry Primary School. She enjoyed socializing and painting with other seniors at the Taylor County Senior Center. Cossette had a passion for her roses and vegetable garden. QVC will miss her dearly. As a loving mother and Nannie, her greatest love was her family and friends, and they will cherish her memory forever. She was preceded in death by : her husband of 55 years, Wilbur Driggers; her parents, David and Daisy Rogers; her twin sister, Christine Tuten; her “Buddy,” Freddie Rogers; and two infant brothers. Mrs. Driggers is survived by: her children, Karen Driggers Everett and Debra (Shannon) Todd; her sister, Ellie Mae Grubbs; her grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Blount, Michael (Rachel) Everett, Lindsey (Nick) Weadon, (Elizabeth) Arnold Scott and Brooke (Jason) Bass; 16 great-grandchildren, Gracie Raker, Kace Raker, Jaxton Morris, Kade Blount, Liam Blount, Evey Everett, Jada Bland, Paige Thompson, Chloe Thompson, Wilbur Weadon, Benjamin Weadon, Waylon Weadon, MayMay Arnold, John (Snacks) Arnold III, Lyla Arnold and Eleanor Arnold; sisters-in-law, Reba Rogers, Mary Jane Tuten, Claire Welch, Eva Lee Parker, Martha Ann Royals, Anne Driggers, Barbara Driggers and Sandy Driggers; and rothers-in-law, JR Tuten, Robert Grubbs, Ray Driggers, Morris Driggers, Mike Driggers and Russell Driggers; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she considered family. A celebration of her life was held Sunday, May 5, from 3-5 p.m. at First Assembly of God of Perry. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Pisgah Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations to the American Cancer Society.
