Separate sealed Bids for the construction of the Upgrade to the Big Bend Water Authority Water Treatment Plant generally consisting of the following:
700 GPM Packed Tower with blower
20,000 gallon clear well
Transfer pumps
Additional Granular Activated Carbon unit
Piping Modifications
Metal Building
Control Modifications
Chemical Feed Pump Modifications
Electrical Building
Painting of Elevated Water Storage Tank
will be recieved by the Big Bend Water Authority at the office of the General Manager, located at 1313 1st Ave. SE Steinhatchee, FL 32359, at 2:00 p.m. (local time), February 19, 2014 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined and/or obtained at the office of the Engineer, Hatch Mott MacDonald, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Suite 200, Tallahassee, Florida, 32308 (Tel. 850-222-0334) for a non-refundable cost of $150.00 each (shipped regular USPS mail). No partial sets will be issued.
All bids must be submitted on the Bid Form as furnished in this Specification. The bids must be accompanied by a Public Entity Crime Statement and by a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier’s check, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into an agreement with the Owner if his bid is accepted, and any other forms required per specifications.
The bid shall remain in force for ninety (90) days after the time of opening.
A non-madatory pre-bid conference will be held at the office of the utility, located at 1313 1st. Ave, SE Streinhatchee, FL 32359, at 2:00 P.M. (local time), on Febuary 5, 2014.
Attention of bidders is called to the licensing law of Florida. All bidders must comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulations of contractors doing business in the State of Florida.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the Owner.
