    School board asked to honor Coaches Burgess and Coker

    The school board is considering a request to name the football field and press box after legendary coaches C.T. Burgess (left) and Coach Elmer Coker (right), pictured during their early days of coaching the Taylor County Bulldogs.

    As football coaches, C.T. Burgess and Elmer Coker were known to be strict – but fair.
