James “Jim” Evans Culbreath, 81, passed away at his home in Perry on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024. time to be announced at a later date. Jim was born in Tampa on Feb. 10, 1943. He proudly served in the Navy from 1962 to 1965. For more than 30 years, Jim worked as a quality engineer. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Perry, and served as an elder there. Outside of work, Jim was passionate about following Gator football. He built and collected antique guns and enjoyed a wide range of music genres. He is survived by: his siblings, Rick (Juda) Culbreath, Lee Ann (LeRoy) Morey, Denise Kepler and Charise (Mark) Summerour; mother, Betty Culbreath; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eric C. Culbreath and Ellen A. Curran. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Perry, with the date and time to be announced at a later date.
